I was a kid of the 80’s. I grew-up on MTV, New Wave music, and Transformers. New Wave music is dead, but still holds a place in my heart, Transformers is still around, but they are now crappy films, and MTV has become a television station that hardly plays music videos, which is why their new logo has dropped the “Music Television” slogan. I would like to talk to the designer of the new logo because it’s terrible. I don’t mind them dropping the “Music Television” slogan because that isn’t what MTV is any more, but to just enlarge the MTV logo and put your “stars” around it is simple, lazy, and dumb. Now that I think about it, it might just be perfect for the audience that MTV is aiming towards.
